    The ETMM Race Team continued its good start to the ski season by winning both the Slalom and Giant Slalom events held at Silver Creek on Jan 7 & 8, 2006 and placing 3^rd in the Slalom event held at Beech Mt. on Jan 28.  The ETMM ladies (and Mark Dison) led the way at Silver Creek by dominating their flights while the rest of the men pitched in enough to ski the team on to victory.  The team came into the weekend in 3^rd place, 2 points out of first in the Southern Division and left the weekend in 1^st place by 4 points.  The ski conditions were good for the weekend and the 19 team members that went on this trip had a great time.  Beech Mt. was a weekend of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, with Saturday bringing “beach” spring-like weather, warm and blue skies while Sunday was rainy, foggy and had gale-force winds causing the race to be cancelled.  See some of the pictures from the race on the web site and also within this edition of the newsletter.  Below are the individual highlights of the Silver Creek and Beech Mt. race weekends:

    Pat Potter came out of retirement at Silver Creek and re-qualified to race with the team and Alex Dance qualified at Beech Mt. which makes our 6^th & 7^th new racers for this season.    

    The Club Championship is still up for grabs although Lisa Beregi leads all team members with 79 points followed closely by Barbara Lang with 78 points.  13 other racers are still in the hunt with point totals between 50 and 65 points.
