Just like the good ol’ days
On the long weekend of October 14 – 17, sixteen Mogul Mashers revived the annual tradition of the Fall Beach Trip to Hilton Head Island – sort of. There were no official parties, meetings, or beach Olympics and Hilton Head is not known for extracurricular activities BUT we had a great time! The weather was perfect and there were a lot of people on the beach; there was even a beach wedding on Friday.
Mark and Lisa Morgan, along with Conner, joined the trip, their first beach trip with the Mogul Mashers in several years. Mark Mabry and Alan played golf and Fred and Buddy drove to the Lighthouse on Saturday morning, had lunch on South Beach at the Salty Dog Café bar and didn’t make it to the beach until almost 4 pm. Cathy, Rick, Buddy and Fred took their bikes and went riding both Friday and Saturday mornings- definitely a first. Each morning Aaron and Cindy, Barbara, Lisa ( 3 Lisa’s actually), John, Betsy and the rest went their own way but each night we ended up in someone’s room playing LRC; if you don’t know use your imagination. In between we spent the day lounging on the beach, playing Hillbilly Horseshoes and resting a lot at the Tiki Bar on the beach.
While it’s always the people that make a trip great, going to a place like Hilton Head doesn’t hurt. ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT FALL! Buddy Ball
